Finland's progressive metallers Kuolemanlaakso have been working hard on the recordings of their new album and follow-up to the debut full-length Uljas Uusi Maailma released in 2012. As of now, much is still under wraps about this new release but further details will be announced as they become available.

The band is working again with producer/engineer V. Santura (Triptykon and Dark Fortress).

Kuolemanlaakso now checked in with the following update: "The recording session of the new Kuolemanlaakso is officially finished, only a few keyboard parts and one guest vocalist to capture in the near future. Raise your glasses, we surely will."

The new album should be: "Musically, compared to the debut, we've chosen a more epic and melancholic perspective on our dark craft. Not forgetting the crushing heaviness, diversity, and our love for the avant-garde, which defines our sound, of course. It is such a cliché to say this, but I have a feeling, that once Santura works his magic and we capture the new songs on hard disc, they will blow our minds. Perhaps yours, too."
