One of the most anticipated progressive metal albums of the year, Dream Theater's new self-titled album, is already streaming online in its entirety. What? The official release of the album is only on September 24th via Roadrunner but who is complaining? You can already listen to the whole album right here or try here if you are having problems.

A Dramatic Turn Of Events was released two years ago already with Mike Mangini on drums but Dream Theater is the first where he actually contributed to the songwriting. Listen up, digest it and then let us know your impressions.

For Americans only, again. Give us an update when the rest of us can hear it, please.

EDIT: Here's a worldwide stream, http://www.soundi.fi/uutiset/vain-soundissa-dream-theaterin-albumin-ennakkokuuntelu

I can hear it over here. It's not working for you? According to the band, it is a worldwide link. It should work everywhere.

Well frankly, it didn't. These country-specific streams are fucking confusing, at least a stream on a Finnish magazine's website works

And if you try this?

I hate when they block stuff in other countries. And I'm sorry if that is happening in some places, guys.

So true about the Finns though, at least it always streams in Portugal where I am

Nope, it's IP restricted. They gave this SmartURL on their Facebook page which probably redirects to wherever you're supposed to hear it: http://smarturl.it/dreamtheaterpremiere

The album has also leaked so for those that are curious and can't wait...
Dentura - 16.09.2013 at 19:38
Looking forward to reviewing this one on Youtube.
Daniell - 16.09.2013 at 20:43
It's a step up from the previous one. More focused and to the point. The final suite is the high point. Overall a solid release, but not even close to their old classics.
BynersA7X - 16.09.2013 at 21:07
So far... Meh.
Last one I listened if Enigma Machine.

Stream in 128 kbps. Damn, they must have really lost all respect to their own music...
Warman - 16.09.2013 at 23:47
"The Looking Glass" is a damn fine song.
Mr.Wilson - 17.09.2013 at 02:56
As a major fan of Dream Theater this album took me a couple of listens to digest, but after it sunk in i was speechless. The most diverse and refreshing album in years. Mike Mangini brought a new feel for the band. Nice Job.

Now let's wait for the usual haters, Metal hipsters, to say how much this album sucks *grabs Popcorn*.
Mechaniacal - 17.09.2013 at 03:05
The Bigger Picture is ok but Illumination Theory is pretty damn good Dream Theater song. One of the best they've done in awhile, and better than everything in their last album.

I agree 300% with you. I was actually in tears at the end of Illumination Theory, haha . The whole album is simply breathtaking.

DT, please never stop making music, you guys are the best!

I know but one cannot even appreciate the music in that quality. Or maybe one can get used to that, but as soon as hit "play" on the first song I was kind of disgusted by the compressed feel of it.

Standard audio stream. Almost all radios use it. What is above this is extra...
Lethrokai - 17.09.2013 at 18:14
Incredibly well done, and lives up to the namesake!

This album IS Dream Theater. It's like they took all of their albums (yes, even the oldest ones like I&W, Awake and even WD&DU) and combined it all to create a sound that was still unique!

This may be first listen hype talking, but I'm LOVING what I'm hearing right now!
Ravenous - 17.09.2013 at 22:07
There is a reason why DT is my favorite band of all time. =)
