Mithras - Sign To Willowtip Records, New Album In 2014

UK death metal titans Mithras have signed a deal with Willowtip Records for the release of their next album On Strange Loops, the awaited follow-up to Behind The Shadows Lie Madness (2007). The deal is only for North America and the band is still seeking other partnerships for Europe and the rest of the world. The new album will be out next year and promises to "warp your mind and destroy your eardrums". Alright then!

The band issued the following statement: "Mithras are pleased to announce we have signed a deal with Willowtip Records to release our next album On Strange Loops (for the territories of North America - USA/Canada/Mexico). We're looking forward to working with Willowtip and seeing where this partnership will take us. We're still considering our options for Europe and rest of world, any other interested labels please get in touch asap."

Even though it's only for the US, this is still good news, looking forward to hearing something new by Leon

Didn't they sort of split up, and is now a one-man band? At any rate lack of Mithras is a terrible thing. The good-Morbid Angel dm band of our time.

On the facebook page there's activity and talk about the new album, I guess it's just been delayed. Macey doesn't seem to be alone on the album though. I don't know anymore.
