So, apparently the AFL had to pay a fee to Warner Bros because the new AFL team will be called the Tasmanian Devils, just because WB thinks they own global copyright to the name of an animal
After making quite a name for themselves by releasing only two EPs, Aura and Soma, Bølzer have entered the studio The Woodshed to record their debut full-length, titled Hero. The Swiss black/death metallers haven't revealed anything else about it so far but the anticipation has begun.
Iron Bonehead Productions will release the album on LP/CD. Further details in due time!
So excited about this. I hope that it will be fully new material, without rerecorded tracks from the EPs.
Though they should rerecord some of the demo's material.
I have no problems with the demo's quality. I would rather hear more new songs than have older songs with a slightly better quality. Maybe a rerecorded song from the demo as a bonus track could work.
Iron Bonehead is a great label by the way, some really awesome death metal to be found on there if you dig deep
---- I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.
Just learned they are coming to South America to do some shows, can't believe they are doing that when they are so under still. I'll surely be there!
I remember seeing them live and thinking... fuck where is the bassist or second guitarist?? Then i realised they were always a two piece band. It's amazing the amount of sound they can produce! From just two people.

Yep, it watched this yesterday and I agree with you. I listened to the EPs without knowing they were a two-piece band. There's a local act called Uroboros which does the same, they have to give the guitar some extra low-end edge to fill in frequencies that are usually handled by a bass guitar.
I love Bolzer's music and lyrics. I saw them at Roadburn and in Sofia on their tour with Behemoth - they were great and I can't wait for the new album. As far as I know it will not include songs from the EPs, but it will include the new songs they've been playing live recently - The Archer and I Am III. They said that they were going to make a video before the album is out, so I'm looking forward to that, too. Okoi just got a new custom guitar, so new sound can be expected on Hero...
