Atrophy - Working On New Music

American thrash smashers Atrophy just posted some important news. The band was formed back in 1986 under the Heresy name but in 1987 changed it to the current one. They broke up in 1991, but in 2015 came back from the dead and added two guitarists to the team, Casper Garret and Rich Olsen. Three original members, vocalist Brian Zimmerman, bassist James Gulotta and drummer Tim Kelly, are still part of the unit. Now, they are creating new music!

The band updated: "Attention Atrophy fans: For the first time in almost 25 years we are working on brand new songs for you all! And for those who don't want to hear new material, we will also be dumping a track or two off of our elusive third album demo from 1993 that we swear exists! It has no vocals, and the production quality is not perfect. It also has no Chris Lykins. But it has some of the best riffs that Rick ever wrote. It's killer. Everybody wins basically!

"If you would like to support Atrophy and maybe help get the new material recorded in a studio, buy a tee shirt off of us. The band gets 100% of the money, Tim has a printing company that he personally owns and we don't have to pay anybody to make the shirts. If you don't have the money to support us, please get our entire discography and burn it onto blank CD's and pass them out. We don't care if you illegally download our music, we embrace it. Spread the word, tell your friends."

They only released two albums, Socialized Hate in 1988 and Violent By Nature in 1990.
