Vintersorg - New Album On The Way, Reveal Details
The Swedish metal act from Skellefteå, Vintersorg, announced that they will bring us the new chapter of the music which began in 1998 with Till Fjälls. The band will release the new album Till Fjälls Del II this June 30th via Napalm Records. Finally, fans will be able to hear the successor to Naturbål (2014).
Their label writes: "It was a tricky question... How would Swedish duo Vintersorg continue after 2014's intriguing album Naturbål? Shunning repetition, vocalist and mastermind Andreas 'Vintersorg' Hedlund did the unthinkable and composed a sequel to his groundbreaking 1998 album Till Fjälls, which is considered to be one of the most important albums in the genre of black/folk metal! What to expect from Till Fjälls Del II? No scientific lyrical concept, no progressive trickery, but a heartfelt return to snowcapped mountains, pure nature-inspired mysticism, Nordic folklore and real black metal with a captivating epic streak. Vintersorg share a vision of equally harsh and melodic soundscapes that melt the raging extremes of the late 90s with the focus of 2016."

I don't know if going into hype mode, or remain sceptical since it's a double CD and it's the sequel of one of my favourite album ever.

Title of one of the best all time debuts plus cover theme from my favourte Vintersorg album ("Cosmic Genesis"). Really, for me, the day that this monument comes alive will be one of the most epic moments of this year.

We have seen sequels getting out pathetically. I really hope Vintersorg doesn't land on that side of the fence. Well, the last time I heard Vinterforg was "Naturbål" which I wasn't really impressed with.
