Moonspell - New Track Revealed
Portuguese metallers Moonspell have revealed the third song off their new album, 1755. It's the Spanish version of the song "Desastre" (Disaster), featured as bonus track on the new record. The new album 1755 will be out on November 3rd via Napalm Records, if you are interested in getting it. For now, enjoy the tune below.
Says frontman Fernando Ribeiro: "Desastre is a homage to all our Spanish-speaking fans around the world. In the late 18th century, in our streets a mixture of Spanish and Portuguese was spoken and guess what that's exactly what we do here! This song is about how the earthquake took Lisbon by surprise and how we are nothing but a a human leave left alone to break when a strong winds blows. Enjoy Desastre, gracias y saludos!"

If you stop listening to it by the end of the 1st minute, you've listened to the whole song already because from there, they just keep repeating the whole thing over and over. It's just bad. It's a bad radio pop song played with heavy guitars. It's even worse than the previous 2 songs released so far, which were already bad too. There, I said it.

A tad bit disappointed. the first song was good. second, not so much. third one is below average. I hope the rest of the songs are better. Since the last two albums, Moonspell has a habit of releasing the shortest and weakest songs first (Lickanthrope, Last of us, White Skies), so i guess all hope isnt lost yet

Yes, this isn't great. Overall, the songs released so far give me some doubts. But maybe the record as a whole will feel better. They seem to want to please some fans singing in Portuguese and Spanish but maybe that is hampering the music itself.

I am a bit disappointed, I had high hopes for this because it's been about a decade since I enjoyed a Moonspell album from start to finish (Night Eternal). But maybe the record as a whole will feel better, as you say.
