Notorious British extreme metallers Cradle Of Filth have posted the following short update:

"The world tour for the "Thornography" album, which last saw COF in Russia, Ukraine, U.K., Romania, Slovakia and the USA with Gwar is now complete. The band has now returned home to start writing for a new record over the dark months in the rehearsal room. The new album, which is not yet titled, will be released some time in 2008 via RoadRunner Records. Keep your eyes peeled for updates on our website."

Fane - 07.12.2007 at 01:19
XD Jiri must have had hard time reading this. Oh well.. It will be bad I guess, but there is always a chance for a miracle, riiight?
MetalHearted - 07.12.2007 at 01:54
I think it's roadrunnern, with two "n" i mean.
Wait and see, more heavy metal than thornography, maybe...
selken - 07.12.2007 at 02:07
I cannot deny I'm feeling curious...
LeChron James - 07.12.2007 at 04:17
i cannot deny im feeling a tad nauseous.
BestMetalstormer - 07.12.2007 at 09:47
Their Thornography was the letdown in Metalstorm 2006 award. Let's see the new work in 2008;)
insanity.peppers - 07.12.2007 at 09:56
LOL Cradle touring with GWAR? I can imagine Oderus ripping Dani's head off and feeding it to Gor-Gor. Maybe if Cradle disband from Roadrunner I'll be curious about a new album.

New COF album coming?That's cool
=maD.Doc:. - 07.12.2007 at 12:40
Interesting. I mean, I love melodic stuff, and I don't think CoF is bad, like many seems to think. Just don't understand why everyone starts to think bands are bad when they get commercial success, it's the same with In Flames. Well. I don't actually care (even if I easily get angry with people that don't have any good arguments to why they think that way) about what others think. It's great that the music gets the attention it's worth from outside the metal world!
Katatronik - 07.12.2007 at 14:04
I hope it will be better than the last ones... Anyway, I just can't wait!
I read they are writing stuff more Dusk/Cruelty-oriented... but I'm sceptical...
LifeExit - 07.12.2007 at 14:44
Finally a new album! I adore all of their albums (I really don't see why Thornography is so bad in many eyes) and I adore the new album already!
Warman - 07.12.2007 at 18:58
Yes yes yes yes yes!!! One of the three best bands in the whole world will release a new album!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!! 2008 will be my best Metal year so far!
iaberis - 07.12.2007 at 21:54

fanapathy - 08.12.2007 at 15:40
I dunno why but I totally lost any interest for this band 5 years ago. Repetive.
velvet - 08.12.2007 at 19:23
@ Fanapathy - same happened to me, along with CoB... But just maybe (fingers crossed) something new and exciting will happen.

Heh, I'm lucky. i always though In Flames were dull as hell. Then they murdered the only song I like at Bloodstock, so my mind wasn't changed.
altercuca - 10.12.2007 at 16:35

graywolf87 - 11.12.2007 at 06:50
time to retire...or the same fate as metallica awaits, oh wait this already happened to them and 10x worser...retire, retire...stop doing it for the money! roadrunner is a piece of shit label.

the reason everyone thinks these bands are bad is not because they are popular or successful or are being progressive no...its because as they become popular their music becomes drops a few nuts and results in a boring and degenerate album, pumping out mindless dribble with a pretty cover with full knowledge that they have that 14year old kid's 30buks in the pocket
HolyandFallen - 23.06.2008 at 13:36
I have lost my belief in Cradle of Filth. Each album they release is worse than the previous one. Someone said that it's time to retire for the guys and I agree. If they make a bad album this time, then I will not be sad if they disband.
