I presonally always wanted to do comedy metal, but never had the time to... someday I will...

What do you know? I always wanted to do comedy metal too! I have a nerdy voice and I have a lot of great humorous ideas. You should come to Kansas and we'll form a band!

you've got yourself a deal man... The only problem is that i'm defenetly not coming to Kansas I prefer living in my own third world country (Bulgaria) hahah...
I actually belive that to be albe to come to the situation where doing comedy metal is really worth would be when I manage to get one of my bands succeed a bit in the music business so I have the conections to make the comedy thing work... Otherwise comic stuff rulz, espcially when people take it seriously and strat bashing it down like in a recent review of some gay grind core band

I'd actually like to listen to that Totally Fucking Gay album...I'm sure it's as funny as hell...I checked out that review....according to Herzebeth we should all stay away from that release...

I think that some bands achive funniness quite well, through being funny, or having lyrics that are so out of the ordinary that they are funny. Sometimes though being funny isn't that great. Sometimes bands try harder to be funny than trying to make good music. I think bands should be more serious with actual music making, and then let the comedy part come second.

That was one of the most entertaining reviews I've ever read ....would like to listen to a few track just to see if they're as bad as I think they are.

haha, comedy metal,, should be really funny.. I do not know what to think to ths genre,, but I am gonna listen to some, just to see if its funny or anyhting;)

i find Macabre so so funny, even though maybe i shouldnt with each song being about some murders or the murderer
'Vampire Of Dusseldorf' and such tracks are so amusing
very good band though - very good music as well!

Different kind of funny, but Skyclad invokes chuckles. It's much more subtle. And pun-heavy.

Tried Carnival in Coal ??
Their music is quite original but mixing metal with disco isn't really my thing... Anyway they play and write hilarious stuff, at least on their latest album Collection Prestige (the only one I've actually heard).

Xiquets de Banyoles are this band that exist on Google video that make their own low budget videos to other band's songs, such as Nightwish, Edguy, Judas Priest, Children Of Bodom, Manowar, Venom, In Flames, Crematory, Lacuna Coil, Blind Guardian, Accept and a host load of others. They're hilarious!

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but another funny band I recommend is Crotchduster. They play avant garde metal, combined with power metal, death metal, and comedy, all rolled up into one. Therefore, I have dubbed them "Avant Garde Power/Death/Comedy Metal". One comedy metal band that I really like is Zimmer's Hole featuring memembers of Strapping Young Lad and their albums are produced by Devin Towsned they have some pretty funny lyrics. The genre they play is a thrashy comedy metal.
