So, there's always the question of what is the best metal album ever! But still there are many EP's like Emperor's "Emperor" or the new Entombed that leave you like this so i always wondered what is the best EP of all time
my personal Favorite's are Neurosis - Sovereign
Cave In - Tides Of Tomorrow
my question is what is your favorite EP of all time
The best is difficult to say but most Vader EP's are very good.
I also like Kreator-Out of The Dark...Into The Light and Testament-Live at Eindhoven
Of course Mentally Murdered, Suffer The Children and Mass Appeal Madness.
Entombed-Crawl, Blood-Recognize Yourself, Sepultura-Bestial Devastation...(didn't know I like so much EP's)
and maybe it's not so difficult to say after all: my favorite EP would/could be: Pungent Stench-Extreme Deformity. Fun guaranteed.

I love EP's, there's something very "containable" about them, for want of a better word. In many cases a band's EP can be their best work. Some examples of these:
Deathspell Omega - Kenose
Sigh - Ghastly Funeral Theatre
Alcest - Le Secret
The Meads of Asphodel - In the Name of God, Welcome to Planet Genocide
Ofermod - Mysterion tes Anomias
The Axis of Perdition - Physical Illucinations in the Sewer of Xuchilbara
Wrath of the Weak - Persse
Bloodbath - Breeding Death
And not their best but among my all time faves:
Blut aus Nord - Thematic Emanation of Archetypal Multiplicity
Agoraphobic Nosebleed - PCP Torpedo
Meshuggah - I
Probably DSO's "Kenose". I can't say I listen to many EP's, though Vader's "The Art of War" is great as is Bloodbath's "Breeding Death" and "Unblessing the Purity".
I've only got 2 or 3 eps (excluding those that came as a bonus with an album), but the answer will probably always be the Thorr's Hammer ep (not gonna bother trying to spell it).

"Another day, another Doug."
"I'll fight you on one condition. That you lower your nipples."
" 'Tis a lie! Thy backside is whole and ungobbled, thou ungrateful whelp!"
Some of my favorite eps are:
Griftegård - Psalm Bok
Dødheimsgard - Satanic Art
Spektr - Mescalyne
Blotted Science - The Animation Of Entomology
Deathspell Omega - Kénôse
Dordeduh - Valea Omului
Destruction - Sentence of Death, awesome teutonic thrash metal
Pantera - Alive and Hostile EP, contains 5 songs from Cowboys from Hell
Can't remember other EPs right now but I'm sure there are a lot of good ones.

Godkiller's Rebirth Of The Middle Ages is the pinnacle of black metal, and the best EP in metal history. Seriously. Listen to this. I can't explain how amazing it is.
