What was your first album?

For me it prolly was Iron Maiden's first one. My dad took me to the metalshop and handed me this record, "Here kid, this is for you." And I put it in the car's cd player and skipped to Running Free because my dad said it was the best track. My jaw dropped.

My first one is Within Temptation's The Heart Of Everything. It was the perfect induction to metal for me because of my love of orchestral music. My old roommate not really into metal told me about it and its almost like love at first sight lol Looking back, it seems like I've come a long way... but I still love that album (=

First METAL album I ever bought was Dio's "Last In Line", IIRC. This was about 1985, when it was still relatively new. I bought it because Dio's "Rainbow In The Dark" was the first metal song I really liked, after seeing it on MTV. "Last In Line" is still one of my favorites, and when "We Rock" starts up I'm instantly transported back to 1985.  I didn't listen to anything Dio did after that - I was heavy into thrash/speed metal within a year.A year or two later my aunt visited, and I was shocked to find out that she was listening to "Sacred Heart". Yeeeeooowwww, that just isn't right!!!

When i was like 8 my uncle gave me metallica's black album. I was more into pop rock and rap at that stage, so i sorta liked it as it was more of a mainstream album. i guess that was the album that really got me into metal.

Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark I was blown away by this album, but to be honest I bought it when I was a little kid because I liked the cover, I didn't even realize it was heavy metal until a few years later.

Damn.... Okay, I got Iron Maiden "Number of the Beast" and Motorhead "March or Die" together. Before that I was listening to Queen, AC/DC and Def Leard and thinking "There's gotta be something better to the musicianship by way of intensity , cuz this is nice but I want to feel more". Either way I found it and honestly, Iron Maiden and Motorhead kept me in one piece really well.

The first album I ever got was Hybrid Theory from Linkin Park, at that time I wasn't really interested into music, I got it as a gift from a christmas exchange in school, and I actually enjoyed it at that time. I still have it, but don't listen to it anymore.
