I liked Zero Dark Thirty. Pretty brutal at times. Love the fact the CIA is shown as a mindless bureaucracy too.

boring movie, nothing much too special, i like Di capiro Leonardo movie, so talent, Blood Diamond is not bad but its nothing sad, few emotion and dramatic climax, the story is nice but nothing much typical, it doesnt have intense moment of the movie..this is not american setting movie usually of Leonardo.. i consider its worst movie of leonardo.. i watch the movie and never remember or want to, only whenseen your post.. i think Leo acted good this movie but the movie its self less marked point to remember..bit of boring..

So after full year of friend nagging on how i should watch Thor 2 i gave it a go last night .It was OK movie but nothing spectacular or special .

I saw Lucy.
I'm incredibly pissed off at how stupid it is. Thank Cthulu the director admits that he wanted to pay homage to films like 2001 because otherwise he would be a fucking asshole.
Visually excelent, which doesn't mean anything in an era where every movie can achieve that kind of thing. So we are left with a storyline that has a premise based on a scientifical MYTH and horrible cheesy dialogue.

I'm so glad I never bothered with that movie since it looks exactly like what you described.

There is way more than science in Lucy.Its far more clever than most of scientific movies i would say.Its qute nice Luc Besson film though its not special.

i mean why people cant turn off their scientific radars when they watch movies. I mean it is supposed to be fantasy not documentary right? I dont watch The Good The Bad And The Ugly cause its scientifically correct to shoot up 10 people in 1 seconds using six-shooter or Aliens/Terminator/Robocop/etc. because how scientifically correct those were but cause they take me to places and situations different than my own.I mean shut the brain ff for moment and just watch the movies.

To the hell with scientifically correctness of pieces of fiction. Geeks and nerds are annoying grown-brats. I'm off watching Rambo3 and Above the Law to kill few brain cells so i could watch Star Wars again.

100% agreed. Where has the willing suspense of disbelief gone?

Lucy was awful through and through, regardless of scientific accuracy or plausibility. I couldn't care less about the absurdity of the "science" and I've always loved OTT sci-fi. It's just a shite film with the most horrific acting from Scarlett Johansson I've seen in a film for a long time. It suffers from terrible moral sensibilities too so in the end it's impossible to give a shit about the central character and whether or not she lives, dies etc. And even from a plot and effects point of view it's really mundane and not that interesting, aside from the Akira-ish bit at the end. Definitely the worst film I've seen since Salt and Jumper.

I don't care how unrealistic something is, it has to make me want to believe it's real.

On the flipside I really enjoyed Oblivion. Nice, mindless and predictable sci-fi that works well on that level. Bit underrated I thought, at least from a pulpy Hollywood sci-fi perspective.

That was ok, but I got a bit sick of it by the end. Too novelty driven, irritating characters and ill-advised comedy montages crossed with moments of melodrama, which for me is never going to work.

Yeah, but by this point that's also a cliché.
