Spanning black metal and industrial/ambient, Vindsval has created an absolute monolithe in post bm. He began with the title 'Vlad' before changing the name after two demos and creating the much loved 'Ultima Thulee' which really put them on the map. As his career progressed he experimented with industrial and ambient and has carved the now highly stylised and distinctive Blut Aus Nord sound.

Written by Guest on 17.10.2013 at 18:47 Makes sense. As much as I liked the first two parts of the 777 trilogy, it was far from being perfect or being regarded as classics. Good experimentation and scope of vision but not a cohesive or strong statement within their genre. And from what I've read about the third part from the reviews and comments here even that doesn't sound to be very excellent.
