There are many metal fans that don't like these albums much - I'm NOT one of them, i like'em all, even the Blaze Bailey era albums. What about you?

Virtual XI is my favourite Iron Maiden album from the 90's, dark, depressive and beautiful melodies with a little gothic touch. Blaze Bayley is not a bad singer!
I wont vote just yet, because I am not completely sure.

Like Warman, I am not completely sure about my vote. I am a fan of the 90's Maiden era, and all of those albums are great. When I first listened to Fear Of The Dark, I though it was going to be a really good album after the first 2 or 3 songs, but it went way downhill after that point. I'll probably vote for either The X Factor, or Virtual XI. The latter may have Maiden's finest song, The Clansman. What an amazing song. I honestly don't know why some people don't like Blaze's voice. He is almost better than Bruce, but he is not.
Really Good Topic!

I would have to say The X Factor was their best album of their 90's. Fear of the Dark had a few good songs on it, but overall it was quite a downfall. There were too many mediocre songs on Fear of the Dark which quite honestly bored me a bit. The X Factor had some nice progressive elements that were introduced that Iron Maiden have continued to use in their music even today, so therefore my vote goes to The X Factor.

that's true after Seventh Son they stopped making decent albums, so you could say they stopped playing music altogether.

Although all of the 90s albums have good songs on them, The X Factor is the most consistent, in my mind. No Prayer For the Dying is too middle-of-the-road, Fear of the Dark too polarised, and Virtual XI doesn't have the same atmosphere that TXF has. Songs like Blood on the World's Hands, Sign of the Cross and The Edge of Darkness are some of the finest songs Maiden have done.

No Prayers For The Dying, this is one of mine favorite Iron Maiden albums cause it was first Iron Maiden album I ever heard, I like all songs from this album and I can't say the same for rest of the 90's albums, especially x-factor. Bo Prayers... have some cult songs like Bring Me Your Daughter or for me Iron Maiden masterpiece Mother Russia... Just love this album but generally I don't like Iron Maiden's 90' albums

I picked Fear of the Dark because I prefer Bruce to Blaze. thats not to say Blaze is not a good vocalists because he has alot of killer tunes and some of my favorite maiden tunes are ones he sang. but for some reason when ever i listen to blaze maiden it doesnt feel like maiden it seems more like a seperate kick ass band. plus The title track from Fear of the Dark kicks extreme amounts of ass.

Difficult question... Obviously I like all of them, but I decided to vote for Virtual XI. It's a pleasant surprise to see it's received the second highest number of votes so far, as this album is usually rather underrated.

I think Blaze's voice was stronger on Virtual XI than it was on The X Factor, generally speaking. Blaze puts in an emotive performance on songs like The Clansman and Como Estais Amigos, and overall those songs have a stirring, 'filmic' atmosphere. The other songs are also great (except 'The Angel and the Gambler' which is a bit dodgy - uneventful, weak and not very Maiden-sounding).

I'd probably rate the 90's albums in this order:
1. Virtual XI
2. Fear of the Dark
3. The X Factor
4. No Prayer for the Dying

I like the first album that Blaze made with Maiden, The X Factor is Maiden best from the 90's imo.
