Amon Amarth - New Album Title And Artwork Unveiled
The masters of melodic death metal Amon Amarth have a trick up their sleeve this Friday. You don't have to wait any longer for the new cover because the band has just unveiled the cover art of their upcoming album which will be called Deceiver Of The Gods. You can feast your eyes on the very Amon Amarthish cover here.
According to the band, the cover depicts the last battle between the Gods and Loki who arrives at Vigridr field accompanied by the army of the dead during Ragnarok, the end of the world. Epic?
The new effort follows 2011's Surtur Rising and will come out under Metal Blade Records.

Haha, I like it. You can't be all things to all people so I think it's best to find what you are good at and stick with it and that's what Amon Amarth do so well. Looking forward to this one as I've really enjoyed the last three of their albums, especially Oden and Surtur.

I don't find Amon Amarth's music bad, there is always quality, but what I find boring about this band is how safe it is and how they repeat themselves over and over with zero originality. It never sucks but damn is it safe. They found their 'paying recipe' and stick to it. No creativity.
