He served 6 years for trying to have someone murdered.
I think having to live as a human torch for a few minutes is a more just punishment.

If we were talking theft, cheating, etc. sure. Whatever. Nobody should be eternally judged for one of their poorer moments or actions in life.
But uhh... hiring someone to assassinate your wife and kidnap your children? Seriously, fuck this guy. No normal person does that. That's not just some lapse in judgment or "rough phase" in his life. This guy is obviously fucked in the head and evil, and I have no pity for him.

So what he did was of course wrong and in no way acceptable. However Time has really tried to turn his life around since he was on steroids' and in prison. Watching it gave me a lot of perspective on things.

Look, im not excusing what he TRIED to do, n if he had succeeded he shouldve been burned alive, slowly, one body part at a time, but again, no one got hurt, n he served the punishment that the law considered exceptable....if thats not enough for people, whats the point of society? Im not trying to be friends with the dude but i have no ill will toward him, he seems to be genuinely sorry for what he did n i hope he stays a productive member of society. If we bash everyone thats ever made a terrible decision, no one would be safe....no one

No one was hurt because he hired the wrong dude and was caught, not because he changed his mind. If he's really remorseful for what he did, great, he served his sentence and all, but let's not excuse him because no one got hurt. It wasn't thanks to him.

100% agree - just because the the attempt failed doesn't affect the intent at all, he deserves to be judged in the exact same way for trying to get his wife killed by an assassin, whether or not it succeeded. As to what that judgement is for trying to get your wife killed, the court gave him their sentence; whether that was sufficient for his crimes and to allow him an opportunity for redemption is up to everyone to decide for themselves. Personally, if he's remorseful, I don't think he should be condemned forever, but I wouldn't think terribly of those that do.

Yeah, gonna have to agree to disagree. The dude got off easy, and then got rich off of writing a book from it and promoting his band as part of his "redemption story." Dude is a charlatan.
