Thou Art Lord or the gathering between Sakis (Rotting Christ) and The Magus (Necromentia). Thou Art Lort is not so young actually when we see that they are formed since 1993 but they aren't so famous as Rotting Christ and the others big bands from Greece. However Thou Art Lord is categorized as a cult band by a lot of Metalheads of the country and this fourth album, if you're a fan of "Old School" Satanic Metal, is definitely for you.

Thou Art Lord definitely sounds old School and when I say that they play Satanic "Old School" Death/Thrash Metal I could add too that they play a Metal in the vein of some bands like Acheron. Something aggressive and Heavy but no so Brutal (that's the Thrash side of their music that gives this melodic aspect) and the music is not so hard of access. Just imagine some "blacky" vocals with some middle heavy guitars riffs and some little dark ambiances made by some samples (Keyboards?) and you see how it can sounds The ten songs of the album are really efficient even if I regret that it is not so original actually, I mean that it's ok but not really addictive too, you see what I mean...

The other important part of the album is the satanic lyrics. I don't mind this kind of lyrics they're not the first to do it but on the other hand you will have to be really into this kind of texts because if you're just like me, that's quickly a good bunch of blabbering and nothing more. I know that a lot of people (especially kids) like this satanic lyrics but I'm sorry that's not a synonym of quality for me.

Well well this album is a good and honest album in the category, that's well done, the recording even sounds "old school" and for sure, if you like this kind of music, that's a must for you believe me. On the other hand that's not so transcendental too, that's a good release but nothing more, and above all I think that this album is made for the diehard fans of the style.
