"Laughing To Death" is the second EP of the young French band Grazed. After their first release "Every End" in 2000 they're back with a new release of a powerful Death Metal, something between the classic anger of the real Death, and the melodies of the Gothenburg Death. If you like such music and if you want to support the French underground scene, please have a look on this release?

This EP is a good release, actually the tracks are all well written with some Thrash touches especially on the guitars solos, the riffs and then the melodies are catchy, no doubt that the 5 songs of this EP are really promising when you consider that we're at the beginning of the career of the band. That's not really original maybe, but well it's ok at the end and if they can put some touches of personality in their next release, it could be a good thing.

The only problem for me actually comes from the recording that is a bit average, but above all from the voices of the singers (there are two different singer on the EP, depending of the year of the recording). It should be a bit more powerful and aggressive in my opinion, because right now it doesn't sound like a big voice that we want when we listen to Death Metal. That's a detail maybe, but believe me, that's really important and I hope that it will be better in the future?

"Laughing To Death" is an EP, this is the beginning of the career of this new band Grazed but it's ok and with some more maturities it will probably pass? Time will tell but if they are able to correct the little problems that we can find on this "Laughing To Death", Grazed will certainly have its moment of glory in the French Metal scene.
