To top it all off there are these harsh hardcore-ish terrible vocals that subside occasionally only to give in to even worse off-key cheese-o-riffic clean vocals.
That summarizes my feelings towards vocals pretty well.
This album reminds me of when Catamenia came up with "VIII The Time Unchained" in the sense that all vocals are awful. |

Well...
Ep "No Way Back" from 2007 is the only one part of their stuff, which I really like. |

| I agree the album is pretty horrible, but this review is obviously biased. If you don't like the band or genre, don't review the fuckin album... |

I have, and there will be more! |

I hope you know Norther was one of the first metal bands I listened to, I still like their earlier material, and I don't altogether hate all forms of power metal.

I don't hear anything remotely akin to Norther's style there. Painful to listen to. I only sampled a few songs and it's enough for me to never turn back.
Orpheus sounds more like what Norther might put out today if Petri was still around. |

| Troy, you mean... you mean the title of the first song is the quest they give you? Or rather, the challenge they put you up to? |

Exactly. It was an indirect challenge to get through the entire album. And then it was on repeat so I had to do it again.
It was like the song that never ends. D: |

The Neverending Songy? I see the stuff
As far as I'm concerned, 2 minutes (to midnight) of the first song has been more than enough. Gonna cure myself with some Oranssi Pazuzu. |

I actually expected this album to be this horrible. This is what happens when you kick out the one who started this project and made the name Norther mean something. Creation is a something you're born with, not something you can learn and Ranta still hasn't understood that. I think Norther will only get back on track with Petri Lindroos is back. Norther means Petri Lindroos. |

| The album is definately bad, and as Troy stated, I did redownload it twice to see if I had some sort of quality loss, however as somebody posted already that if you don't like the genre...maybe you shouldn't be reviewing the album/band then. |

Specially if you already told them that you actually enjoy their previous works. But still even if you didn't.. you can still write a godamn review if you want to. |

Shit like that just makes me want to review a Manowar album to piss off all the fanboys. But I do have a shred of objectivity so I won't bother. |

Worst argu...really? No idea if your trolling or just... If a person states that he or she dislikes a certain thing then writes about it, most likely that person has a pretty biased opinion on the matter. But each to there own, it still is a solid review, the album is terrible. |

Let's see, I liked Norther, they helped me get further into metal, and I've been following their career ever since. I didn't like this album, and I decided to write a review about it. I really don't see this whole "if you don't like it don't review it" attitude. Apparently we should only review albums we like. |

I love Norther. The first three albums will always be very special to me. And guess what? I liked this album and they did what I expected them to do. After the first three my expectations have never been that high every time they release something, but I still give those releases a listen now and then.
I can see why some despise this album. It is simple and absolutely nothing original in any sense of the word. To me though, I sometimes need simple and songs I forget right after I listened to them. Hell, the only song I can remember from this album is "Falling". But if I urge for more Norther after listening to the first three albums for the billionth time, I can definetly put on this album for half an hour. |

| I'm sorry but hiring Aleksi wasn't such a good choice. At all. Or continuing Norther without Petri. Damn, they should have just started a new band called "Souther' and they would have gotten a better review. |

Great band name! Although I can't say for sure if that would effect the outcome of this review... The album would still suck.
Although I probably wouldn't have checked it out, so it wouldn't have been reviewed by me at all. |

| Just saw this review and unfortunately it gave me the urge to hear how bad this album actually is. Let's just say I'm currently reading an article on the architectural designs of assembly buildings in revolutionary France, and it's more interesting than this album. |
