(Hopefully) cool stuff still to check: CoF, Ragnarok

Der Weg Einer Freiheit - Unstille Now this is what I've searched for in a long time: Modern Black Metal that is still heavy as fuck but ceases tumbling down old rotten paths, perfect work! |
2.
Wintersun - Time I Hard to say the waiting was worth it, but it is perfect. |
3.
King Of Asgard - ...to North This is perfect Viking Metal, awesome shit! They really managed to maintain on the highest bar. |
4.
Ensiferum - Unsung Heroes More folk, more slow, less Ensiferum. But... still better than any other Folk band. The songs are great, sometimes resembling even Nightwish while doing this better than the original. If this was a debut album, people would react completely different, so shut the fuck up. |
5.
Eluveitie - Helvetios Awesome as always, great melodies and riffs, includes everything a Folker could ask for! |
6.
Evocation - Illusions Of Grandeur Death metal at its best, this album is just soo good! |
7.
Ex Deo - Caligvla Didn't get what people had to complain on the debut, I loved it and so I do love Caligvla, plus they manage to use orchestrations properly and not so poor as Dimmu Borgir. Tune your guitars down when the violins come in! Like in here. |
8.
Varg - Guten Tag Many people don't like them, and the newer stuff ain't Pagan any more, but I still think they are great. |
9.
Alexander Paul Blake - Die Rückkehr ins Goldene Zeitalter This guy is a mastermind, Black Metal in an older, but wonderful set up shape. |
10.
Wildernessking - The Writing Of Gods In The Sand First great suprise this year, trve black metal with a progressive atmosphere, brilliant stuff. |
11.
Carach Angren - Where The Corpses Sink Forever Again really enjoyable and I still say, those guys beat Dimmu Borgir easily. |
12.
Alcest - Les voyages de l'âme Still a mystery to me from which world Neige gets his melodies... Love this dreamy shit. But still not for every mood fitting. |
13.
So Much For Nothing - Livsgnist Uh, quite evil stuff but music is great. |
14.
Tracedawn - Lizard Dusk New growler Niko is excellent and I even enjoy the very metal clean ones. Lyrics are bad and music is average so far, but still with some cool songs. |
15.
Advent Of Bedlam - Flesh Over God Pretty your standard death metal but enjoyable, some great riffs in this one! |

Yeah, that sort of thing I mean, you don't have to, I just happen to love those a lot and I'm not the only one |
