Thumbs up: +2
Well, this is my first try of a list, probably not a lot will agree on my choices, but whatever. Here are the releases I thought were the best of 2013.

1. Ovid's Withering - Scryers Of The Ibis
Up until this point, I haven't heard anything like this. I knew it was going to be great(from when the EP was released), but not this phenomenal. This is the best album I have listened to this far, and no matter what argument you throw at me, this will be undenyable the best from this year.
2. Dead Silence Hides My Cries - The Symphony Of Hope
Doesn't appear here on MS, it's still a beautiful release. Hopefully they will get the attention they deserve soon enough.
3. Abysmal Growls Of Despair - Eternal Lament
What really surprise me is that they're not that well known, but holy shit this band and album is the one that introduced me to Funeral Doom, and I am not disappointed.
4. Shade Empire - Omega Arcane
With a bad habit of forgetting the album-name, I do really love this release from this fantastic Symphonic Black band.
5. Erra - Augment
Now it maybe seems that most of the stuff I'm entering on this list doesn't seem to appear on MS. Well, for me all of these are metal releases(though my opinion maybe doesn't count here). This release here is a great one from one of my favourite bands.
6. Xehanort - Awaken In A Different Dimension
Extremely underrated, but trust me, if you like all of the things I've presentate to you this far, you will enjoy them a lot.
7. Caladan Brood - Echoes Of Battle
This one was suggested by a youtuber named Luke Hammerheart, I was surprised by how great this was. This one and the next one is in a tie, but couldn't figure out how to do it. Both are, in my opinion, equally good.
8. Bleed From Within - Uprising
This one ended up being better than all their other releases they've done so far.
9. Sidious - Ascension To The Throne Ov Self
An album I found through bandcamp, which grew on me the more I listened to it.
10. Nemertines - Death, My Love
Released from my favourite record label, this band is the best non-vocal band I know of, and this release is fantastic.
11. Conducting From The Grave - Conducting From The Grave
With this release they could to 100% create their own stuff, and it's great indeed.
