Shuffle Of Fun #5 (Day 26)

Thumbs up: 0
It's going to be hard for me not to pick a Type O song any time it comes up "(We Were) Electrocute has one of the catchiest melodies of any Type O song. Furthermore, I feel like it incorporates Peter's humor and love for word play

Shuffle of Fun (Day 27)

1) Kalmah - The Holy Symphony of War
2) Type O Negative - Can't Lose You
3) The Foetal Mind - Nothingness
4) Epica - Dreamscape
5) Municpal Waste - Wolves of Chernobyl
6) Type O Negative - Nettie
7) Wintersun - Death and the Healing
8) Evoke Efrits - Salvation for the Worms
9) Nightwish - Dark Chest of Wonders
10) Municipal Waste - Sadistic Magician

Two Type O songs here. "Can't Lose You' is awesome. How can you not like the sitar? Peter's vocals are kept to a minimum in this song but they are still super powerful.

Shuffle of Fun (Day 28)

1) Faunalord - Eterniscencia
2) Alestorm - Wolves of the Sea
3) The Foetal Mind - Nothingness
4) War Saw - Dark Oath
5) Nightwish - Bye Bye Beautiful
6) Negative Voice - Draft Life
7) Municipal Waste - Unleash the Bastards
8) Elderwind - The Magic of Nature
9) Epica - Natural Corruption
10) Craddle of Filth - Nocturnal Supremacy

I'll pick #7: "Unleash the Bastards" This song is super fun. Short, but all the right parts. You got your circle pit moment. I especially like at the end where Tony's vocals speed up. I've only seen Municipal Waste live once, but I need to again.

Shuffle of Fun (Day 29)

1) Sonata Arctica - Misplaced
2) Kvelertak - Ordsmedar av Rang
3) Amon Amarth - Across the Rainbow Bridge
4) Dark Tranquillity - On Your Time
5) Eluveitie - The Call of the Mountains
7) Iron Maiden - The Thing Line Between Love and Hate
8) Amon Amarth - Once Sealed in Blood
9) Stillness - Emotions
10) Norther - Dead

This one is SUPER tough. So many solid songs. I'll say #5. Eluveitie have been one of the most consistent bands for me the past decade. Anna, and songs like this, is one of the reasons I love them so much. I was worried when she left. However, I really dig everything they have come out with. Also, I love to play drums to "The Call of the Mountains".

Shuffle of Fun (Day 30)

1) Sadness - Melancholie...und die Hoffnung des Horizonts
2) Stillness - Late at Night
3) Violator - Death Descends (Upon This World)
4) Moonsorrow - Kaiku
5) Sadness - Her
6) Therion - Melek Taus
7) A Light in the Dark - Vanished
8) Deadwood Lake - Sunlight
9) Sadness - Lonely
10) Life is Killing Me - Type O Negative

I know there is a Type O song on here, but it's not one of my favorites. I'll pick "Kaiku" which I believe is Finnish for "echo" by Moonsorrow. Even though, it's not metal I love that song. You can imagine people around the fire and them spontaneously playing that. Shows hoe versatile Moonsorrow is.

What is the purpose, other than spamming?

Sorry, I guess I should have been more clear like I was in my earlier lists.

1) To start conversations about which song you like best, and why.
2) For people to possibly check out new bands based on the song description or them simply being on the list
3) Possibly encourage other users to looks at their collection through the microscope of 10 songs at a time, to see how thie tastes have evolved.
4) I believe part of the joy of music is being metacognitive in respects to the reasons why we listen to, and enjoy, songs. By putting our intense feelings into words for others to understand, it forces us to engage in the music in a different way. My hope is that others would do the same.
