Blind Guardian Discography (Ranked)

My personal ranking of all the Blind Guardian studio albums. I think all of their albums in the 90's are absolutely fantastic and my favourite has switched around a few times because of this. For quite a few years it was Tales From The Twilight World, then it was Imaginations From The Other Side. I have to agree with my number 1 choice though. When it comes to the worst albums, I don't actually think they have any weak studio albums, but the debut isn't really impressive to me and while Follow The Blind was an improvement, it still lacks something when compared to the releases that would come after. I think A Twist In The Myth is somewhat underrated and I was highly disappointed with their 2015 release Beyond The Red Mirror

1.Blind Guardian - Nightfall In Middle-Earth
2.Blind Guardian - Imaginations From The Other Side
3.Blind Guardian - Tales From The Twilight World
4.Blind Guardian - Somewhere Far Beyond
5.Blind Guardian - A Night At The Opera

Top 10 Best Shows I've Been To

I was just looking over my past ticket stubs reminiscing over all the shows I've been to. My ratings are based on not just the bands but also the venue, how the band/crowd/setlist was & how I personally felt in general, health, mood, etc. So mostly a personal list to not be taken seriously, although I think many could agree that these were all fantastic shows! The first two shows are actually tied for me and the Amon Amarth show BARELY beats out Blind Guardian for me, almost tied really. A couple of the venues might have a different name or no longer exist.

1.Heathen Crusade II - Jan. 19-20, 2007
2.Judas Priest - Reunited Tour
3.Amon Amarth - Nov. 28, 2007
4.Blind Guardian - Dec. 8, 2006
5.Paganfest - May 19, 2008

Zach's Picks: Extreme Progressive Metal

The music of progressive metal features complex, layered arrangements in longer than typical songs, often including lengthy instrumental passages allowing the performers to display technical proficiency and interplay. Many time signature changes are common, as is the incorporation of Western classical music influences. The sound is generally driven by the guitars and drums, but it is quite typical to add elements non-standard to rock or metal such as synthesizers and an array of orchestral elements.

1.Atheist - Unquestionable Presence
2.Cynic - Focus
3.Meshuggah - Destroy Erase Improve
4.Edge Of Sanity - Crimson
5.Arcturus - Aspera Hiems Symfonia

Virgin Steele - All Tracks Ranked (1-185)

I make no secret of being a big fan of Virgin Steele. They are easily my favourite band of all time. I have a list of their studio albums ranked and I just thought that wasn't enough. So for a ridiculously long time I have been creating this list. When you are ranking so many songs from one band it can get really difficult. You listen to a song you maybe haven't heard in a while and it suddenly jumps 30 places. I am pretty happy with the list though and will change it down the line if and when my opinions change.

1.Virgin Steele - The House Of Atreus Act I
2.Virgin Steele - Invictus
3.Virgin Steele - The House Of Atreus Act II
4.Virgin Steele - Invictus
5.Virgin Steele - Age Of Consent
