Anthrax have some unfinished business here, and I mean it literally, this album is unfinished.

Hmmm, any other Anthrax fans find this album a bit underrated? It's a lot more serious than ATL, maybe that turned some fans off. I believe the song writing on this album is some of Anthrax's best work.

what turned me off was the fact that the songs are extremely weak. The first bad album by Anthrax this Persistence IN Time, after this is also extremely weak. They only regained themselves momentarily with The SOund Of White Noise, which is the last good Anthrax album up to now.
Only Fistful, Spreading and Among are the true musthaves this band as recorded. Followed closely by Sond, the rest can be forgotten and thrown into the dustbin

I agree that this is really underrated! I have to force myself not to listen to it as often as I want to (i have it on cassette) just so it will still sound amazing. I gotta say that some of the songs on here really stay stuck in my head and they can be impossible to get out at times. Overall this is a contender for their best album, although choosing a "number one" Anthrax album is almost impossible and kinda pointless considering how good most of them are.

This is actually a good album, though overshadowed (unsurprisingly) by "Among the living". A lot of the songs here do offer great musicianship and some amazing solos from Scott Ian, in particular 'Be all, end all', 'Out of sight, out of mind' and 'Who cares wins'. Also, 'Antisocial' is definitely one of the band's best. My only problem with this album though is that some of the songs are a little too long to begin with, so that it takes time to really start picking up, and this affects 'make me laugh' and 'Now it's dark'. Nonetheless, another good album from Anthrax.

I think this is definitely an underrated album, although it's definitely weaker than both the 2 albums that preceded it, and also the 2 succeeding albums. I love a lot of the songs on this one, but a couple of painfully average fillers brings it down. "Misery Loves Company" is probably my fave song from this album.

Here goes the underrated/overrated cliché syndrome again. There is no such thing because the people have decided one way or another. Turns out most (myself included) find this album weak as hell and a major letdown after the trio of Fistful,Disease and Among kicked ass. Got this the day of release and I don't think I ever listened to the entire album more than 3 times and never all the way through. They got to caught up in their rap and b-sides shit instead of concentrating on making solid album releases. I couldn't stand that "fun" image they had and when they tried to shake it nobody took them serious. Watching some of the later Bush videos when they started using pentagrams was all to telling.

I have the original vinyl somehow. Who wants it?

For me this album is gorgeous !!!! I read many commends referring to this album as a weak one!!!! If this album is a weak one then Anthrax play electro pop and not thrash metal. Get serious guys. Stop listen music with your scruff and use your ears your mind and your heart. The guitar riffing in this album is excellent . Better than ever. I don't get it after all how many people are talking about fillers in this album but they believe for example that ''I am the Law''(from among the living) is not the definition of a filler song. In this album Anthrax are taking a step forward musically without loosing their thrash attitude.

Not much of a trash metal fan in general, nor of Anthrax in particular, but what a song "Be All, End All" is!

I don't think this album is bad at all, State of Euphoria just got sandwiched between four of their best albums.

Follow the MS rating system. A rating of 1 means "worst ever" which should be a rare occurrence, a listen that is so dreadful, awful in any way, giving the listener the worst of negative emotions (i.e. annoyance, discomfort), the quality of song-writing and performance would be beyond incompetent. Something like that.

A rating of 4 already means the album is "bad". I would rate an album that is disappointing with a rating of 5 (which means "not good).

The rating system here is pretty good. I've seen worse.

A seriously underrated album with very high quality riffs. Although not as amazing as Among The Living, it is much better than their first and second albums.

To me weakest of 80's bands albums, from true thrash era, but still fun, still humor.
Best song is cover song from french band whit two English drummers in the 80's

This album still has the punk edge that made the previous two so good. I really like the guitar production as well.

The fact that the only good song on here is a cover really says a lot about this album. Definitely the worst thing they ever released with Belladonna.
