For all these years since Heritage was released, there has been a fanbase hungry for Opeth to just ‘sound like Opeth’; now, right as they’re on the cusp of dialling back the years with The Last Will And Testament, they’ve got some fierce competition to contend with.

Another band bringing back the glory days of Opeth. Not the most original, but that doesn't bother me at all.

I thought I recognized the name Anthony Deneyer - this band is 3/4 of Omnerod! This is a bit more Opethian than The Amensal Rise, I'm not clicking quite as much with it, but it's still a good listen

Edit: Further listens proved me wrong, this is some top-tier Opeth worship

Pretty cool, some quality-riffing and OK growling. Definitely reminding of Opeth. But somehow I just don't enjoy it (even tough it feels like I should). I hate using this word because it doesn't really mean anything, but it feels like it doesn't have soul. Can't explain it any better.

These musicians have definitely shown us they have talent here, it's fantastic all-round performance I must say, but despite the great compositions I'm actually not feeling all that moved by what I'm hearing, despite the monumental effort it's not an album I can see myself regularly coming back to.
