Probably

Maybe I have to relisten to their older albums, but their discography for me is a hit or a lot of misses.

I haven't listened to this yet, but The Seer and To Be Kind are the only albums from their catalogue that I can enjoy from start to finish. Though I've yet to listen to most of their earlier work, I've heard everything from Soundtracks onward. Maybe that helps.

Sadly this is just a continuation of the last few albums. Far too droney for my taste. Even the denser parts posturing as climaxes aren’t enough to save the songs from being background music at best.

"Children of God" and "White Light From The Mouth Of Infinity" are my favourite two. I can listen to those two albums any time, anywhere.

I love the earlier albums as well, but I need to be in the right mood for them.

The stuff Gira's realeased since "reforming" Swans is ok, but not on a par with his 80's and early 90's stuff in my personal opinion.

This recent trilogy has nothing on Seer-Glowing Man. Gira writes for himself as always but I’m just not as into these last ones.

MORE SWANSLOP FOR ME YES YES YES
I'm a fan as usual

But I must say I didn't like Red Yellow's abrupt ending, that was so mean

As of late ive been on a huge post-rock craze, but i just can't get into Swans form of post-rock. Ive listened to To Be Kind and The Seer and I just can't. I find Swans sound too drone, too experimental to a point where the length of the songs have become too long.

I always liked the more atmospheric post-rock bands of Godspeed You, Sigur Ros, and MONO, but i can't get into bands like tortoise or Swans for the reasons ive listed above.
