Glad this one didn't slip me by, damn fine doom with a touch of groove.

Pretty surprised to see this nominated for the awards. It has some decent moments, but other times it gets excruciatingly boring . Not a bad record per se, but I just found no reason to return to this over other albums in the genre.

You even preferred the very average Antropophobia over this?

Oh no, I don't think so. I couldn't bear to listen to it all the way through, not my style. This was potentially enjoyable though, but ultimately didn't stand the test of time. Put it aside after a few spins until it popped up here.

But now that I think of it, it was a pretty mediocre year for doom. Only a few really good releases, though I didn't follow the extreme side too actively.

It was a normal average year for doom imo, Lord Vicar was there as well. This yerar promises to be better though, with already The 11th Hour and Pilgrim out (ignore Doc's review on it )
