I used to enjoy Focals in that price range until the headband broke on mine. I'm not sure they have anything priced like that, though.

Of course, sound is different with/without noise cancelling. And that can only be enabled in wireless mode as far as I remember (haven't used them with cable for a long time).

I'm using Bose QuiteComfort 35 II for many years, very happy with them. Wireless and minijack (your choice), noise cancelling, great sound.

You can actually use these with USB-C to mini-jack cable, gives me pretty descent sound.

@Gag reflex marshall monitor III, excellent headphones, anc rocks, and the sound is very clean and apt for metal music. Bought them after years of using Sony and I think I'm not gonna go back to sony ever again
