Biography
Chronicle was formed in November of 2012 by Lars Bo Nepper (Guitar) and Daniel Zobonis (Guitar), after a random encounter at the Aalborg Metal Festival. They quickly recruited Daniel's friend Lasse Johansen as bassist, and Jari Holopainen as drummer. Though shortly after, Daniel decided to leave the band, in order to pursue his solo project.
The band went on as a three-piece for a while, before Sebastian Skousgaard was added as the second guitarist, to complete the line-up. For the following months the band played a couple of live shows, around the northern part of Denmark, before entering Lyddokken Studios, to record their debut EP 'Welcome The Darkness', in April of 2014. The EP was released in July of the same year.
In spring of 2015, about two months before the recording of Chronicle's first album was set to begin, Lasse decided to depart from the band to partake in other musical projects. Jacob Wammen was brought into the band in the nick of time, and with only 3 weeks to pratice with the new bass player, Chronicle entered Death Island Studio to record their first full length album titled 'Primordial Fear' in June of 2015.
The band then proceeded on with a tour around Denmark, as well a minor shows following the tour. Before once again entering Death Island Studio to record a new EP entitled 'Memento Mori'. Which was released on December 16th 2016.
It would be another three years before Chronicle, in the summer of 2019, entered the newly relocated Antfarm Studio together with producer Tue Madsen, to create their second full-length release.
Later the same year Chronicle signed a record deal with Mighty Music for the release of their new album, 'Demonology'. Due out on March 27th 2020.
