Formed as Bellicosity in summer of 2012. Bellicosity featured the line-up of Bob Buchanan - guitar, Dylan Gordon - guitar, Dan Baker - drums, Luke Gawel - Bass, and R. A. Inman - vox. After parting ways with vocalist R. A. Inman, Limbsplitter was formed, featuring the remaining members.

Even without a full-time vocalist, Limbsplitter played multiple shows with different fill-in vocalists, as well as one instrumental set in Akron.

In fall of 2013 Bill Zakovec was added to the mix as full-time, permanent vocalist. Since adding Bill to the mix, Limbsplitter has a new energy and is focused on working on material for our debut full-length.
