Skull Hammer was formed by Steve "Ace" Hammer in 2007 as a power-trio inspired by the music of the NWOBHM and classic metal and thrash. The original line-up of the band recorded their 1st 4 song EP "Fear The Truth" with producer Jim Foster in 2008. Shortly after, they signed with independant UK label Deka Records and shot two music videos, one of which reached no.1 on MTV's Ourstage.com hard-rock chart, and stayed in the Top 40 Hard Rock Videos for 3 weeks. The bands 2nd release, the full-length "Pay it in Blood" was also very well-received and a couple of small tours of the U.S. and Canada followed. The band was invited to play Warriors of Metal Fest in OH in 2013 and Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse in Chicago, IL in 2014. Over the next couple of years, the band played the local New England area heavily, got their music distributed thru Spotify, Pandora, Jango, iTunes, etc. and began writing songs for their next album. "Resisting Time" recording sessions began in late 2017 in Framingham, Mass. with Producer Jim Foster at Red13 Media. The band also shot a video for the song "Nomads of the Wasteland", which has been recently released on their YouTube channel and on Reverbnation. The new album "Resisting Time" releases worldwide on March 1, 2018 thru CDBaby, iTunes and most online outlets.
