Woodtemple - Biography
This band's profile is invisible, meaning that it's much less prominent on the site — either because it's incomplete, or maybe doesn't entirely fit MS format.
BiographyIn 1998 Woodtemple was founded by Aramath (in that time he was 16 years old) as a single-man project. The one and only demo called „swords of hate“ was recorded in summer 1999 in a studio in Steyr. 5 songs were recorded including Intro and Outro. The sound was quite bad and so it was re recorded in autumn 2001, but extended by 2 more songs. „swords of hate“ is assigned to the black metal genre. Immediately after the completion of the demo, Aramath began working on the first album „Feel the anger of the Wind“.
In February 2002 the title song was recorded (in polish east clan forge studio/rob darken) and forwarded to No Colours Records. A deal on the release of the „feel the anger of the wind“ came up. During the summer Aramath worked on finishing the songs and took all the finished material to Poland for mixing and mastering with Rob Darken (Graveland). The vocals are recorded at ATS Studio in Molln.
Feel the anger of the wind contains 6 songs including Intro and Outro!
Even before the release of the album there were conversations with No Colours Records about some cooperation in the future. In summer 2003 the second album called "The call from the pagan Woods" was recorded. In comparison to "Feel the anger of the Wind" the sound is much cleaner and the voice more powerful. It is in the style of Epic Pagan Metal! "The call from the pagan Woods" includes 5 songs including Intro and Outro. In that year Woodtemple played the almost one and only concert in Germany "Hohenmölsen".
In spring 2004 Aramath recorded the Mini-CD "Hidden in eternal Shadow". In this album the acoustic guitar is much more offensive. 2 epic songs were recorded for "Hidden in eternal Shadow".
In summer 2005 once again he continued the way to Poland for recording the third album "Voices of pagan Mountains". This album was a major turning point in the upcoming career. Much more work was done with acoustic guitars and a session drummer.
In January 2007 Aramath started the guitar work on the album number four "Sorrow of the Wind". The recordings went on until the end of the year, since the keyboard tracks were recorded at home in Austria. Therefore it took much longer because there was more space for experiments. This album was released by „Folk Produktion“ from Austria. „Sorrow of the Wind“ is an album with many folk elements.
In the year 2012/2013 the fifth album "Forgotten Pride" was recorded. For the very first time trumpets were included in the songs. Stylistically it is more depressive and much cleaner produced than the previous albums. In April 2014 i have founded the session musician for live playing and also a fix drummer which will support me in the upcoming works.
