Biography
Azagatel was born in September of 1995. Hrödulf and Nelson were the only members. The first gig was in a local Vale de Cambra bar in December 28th with the help of To Zé, Batata and Sú.Some changes were made in that line up and the band started working in what became the "Middle Earth" demo CD. Hrödulf, Nelson, Marco, Zé Leão and GreenDevil where the line-up at the time. The year was 2000.In the beginning of 2001 Filipe (Morte) was asked to join the band. The band started working in a full CD that became real in 2003 called "Nautilus".Not unusual in Azagatel are the line-up problems. João and Caos X joined the band in 2004.The "Nautilus" CD is the work that gave Azagatel the most concerts per year. It gave the band a sense of the pleasure of playing a lot and of the sacrifices that are needed to maintain focus. The "Horned God" EP came out in early 2005 .After the recording of "Olokun" in 2007, line-up problems appeared again. "Olokun" was released as a split tape with Dagor Dagorath, limited to 150 copies by Nekrogoat Heresy.Sometime between 2007 and 2011, João exchages the keyboards for the bass. Until the middle of 2011, Azagatel worked to make the new CD called "Lux-Citanea". The recordings were delayed several times because of changes in drummers. In the middle of those attempts GreenDevil rejoins and "Lux-Citanea" process finishes in the beginning of 2012. The album release was in September 8th in Mercado Negro, Aveiro.
