Finland, Hyvinkää - Steelfest Open Air 2022 - 10th Anniversary

Moonsorrow have cancelled their participation at Steelfest. We sincerely apologise to everyone who might have bought their tickets because of us back in 2020, but as everyone can see, this is not the same festival anymore.
We have always wanted to disassociate ourselves from any political movements, including but not limited to those at the far right. It really should be obvious to anyone, but having followed the recent discussions, it clearly isn't.
That being said, we do not wish to attend any political playgrounds, and this seems to be becoming one with an accelerating pace.
Moonsorrow's only ideology has always been and will always be pre-christian, pagan ideology. We know that our true fans have always understood this. Our war is fought solely on the religious front.
We are quite frankly tired to death of the whole topic, and we will not be commenting this any further. This will have to suffice. Thank you.

Does anyone can tell me what is political about this fest. I dint see anything only 2 bands what are ns Nokturnal Mortum and SW.

Isnt it easier if its case cancel their appearance was one of headliners?

It's just the usual case of some groups and labels freaking out over some evil black metal bands participating, cancel culture and political activists running amok and stuff. Some people just don't want to get stuck in the middle of that sort of crap.

Its stupid, because good line up, and I dont care what bands play ns, lefties, vegans or state sponcoret band. Music matters
