IMO they are actually totally terrible. People only like them because of their influence, or so it seems. Back in the day no-=one would pay a single second of attention to this shit. They were laughed at even harder than Hellhammer.

Yeah. I bought the cd about 5 years ago due to everyone raving about it and then found it to be utterly shite. Mind you the only people raving about it were the t00 kvlt krieg nekro grim frostbitten Internet keybard warrior kiddies.

if u don't like the underground and cult scene just don't go!!!!! there's no reason to make fool of bands like von just bcoz u don't like 'em. i actually feel damn lucky to see von live and all those kick ass bands all together

Just cause I don't like Von and can't understand the big fuss about them I don't like the underground? And why can't I make fun fun of them? Hell I heard them when you were still in your diapers and didn't like them back then either. And found them hilarious.
I am all for underground festivals such as this one (though I find the inclusion of The Devil's Blood weird musically and considering how big they are). It's just I can't understand the fuss about Von.
If there is one person here on the MS staff that is 100% for supporting the underground it is me. No matter what underground you talk about it be it doom (both normal doom, sludge and extreme) which is my forte, be it black, which I like a lot, and NO not the mainstream bands, be it old school death, be it thrash, be it US power, be it epic metal, be it old school heavy etc etc. I am ALL for the underground and underground clubs.
