Oh man... this was a hardcore story with a happy ending. The show started at 21 instead of 19 because of the weather conditions. So I had to walk around the cold, snow-covered Prague for quite some time. Also the order of performance was changed:
Exodus played from 21:00 to 22:00
Kreator from 22:30 to 00:00
Death Angel from 00:20 to 1:20
and then Suicidal Angel, who I didn't stay for to see. It was too late, and I didn't really care for them as I didn't like "Sanctify the Darkness," and although their latest was better, it still didn't impel me to stay.
The sound was quite crappy. I was standing upfront but a bit to the left. When Exodus came out, I could basically hear only Lee Altus, whose cabinets where on my side, and the drums.

Vocals were almost inaudible. I banged to a few familiar tracks, especially to the closer "Good Riddance" - love that song!
I never cared much about Kreator, so I was basically resting during their set, but people where going crazy most of all during their set actually. Again, I am not familiar with most of their discography, and due to crappy sound, I didn't learn anything new.

Well, except for the fact that there are so really fast thrashing songs on their first album(s).
Then came out those who I was waiting for the most. DEATH ANGEL! And from the very first song I was banging my head like crazy. It seemed to me that they were the most lively band of all, and of course I also enjoyed them most of all because I am familiar with most of their stuff. It was a really great performance, which ended too fast. I caught my first pick during their set, and two more after (one bass and another guitar), but I gave them to other dudes, and they were really happy!
It was Death Angel's first show in Prague (mine too), and they filmed a little.

Anyways, a great band, and I'd love to see them again for a longer show. So not to spoil my uplifted spirits I left and got home by Prague's great night transport system. Went to bed around 3.30 and got up at 8 to go for my Czech lessons.
I still feel really great after this show (all due to Death Angel). One thing I learned from this show is that it's quite important to know the music (and lyrics) of the bands you are coming to see; otherwise, it might be quite a mediocre experience (especially when the sound is crappy).
Ok, that's it for my first thrash show ever!
