Boston, Massachusetts-based post-rock/post-metal ensemble Junius has announce the release of their new studio album Sotera, their first in 9 years. Due out on June 26th, it was produced by the band's vocalist/guitarist Joseph E. Martinez and Tom Syrowski. To taste a first piece of the new material, give a listen to the "Initiatrix" single.

Junius' new EP is right around the corner. The group has recently unveiled the first taste of Days Of The Fallen Sun. The new song "Forgiving The Cleansing Meteor" can now be streamed via Pitchfork. Scheduled for release on February 18th in North America via Prosthetic Records, Days Of The Fallen Sun is described by the band as a prequel to their 2009 full-length The Martyrdom Of A Catastrophist and is the first new music from Junius since the release of their opus Reports From The Threshold Of Death.

American quartet Junius hasn't released any new material since the album Reports From The Threshold Of Death from 2011 but there is good news. The band will release an EP called Days Of The Fallen Sun, the first new music in three years via Prosthetic Records in February of 2014. Further details regarding the EP will be made available shortly. Let's just hope the inspiration continues.
