Anthrax have released a music video for their new single, titled "It’s For The Kids". The new song marks the band's first new music in a decade and the lead track from their upcoming twelfth studio album Cursum Perficio, due out September 18th via Megaforce Records in North America and Nuclear Blast in Europe.

At this weekend's NAMM convention in Anaheim, California, Anthrax bassist Frank Bello briefly talked to American Musical Supply about his new signature Spector bass, and offered an update on the band's plans for the coming months. According to him, the upcoming new Anthrax album is currently expected to be released in September or October. The release marks the band's first new album in almost ten years.

While they are failing hard to book an European tour for the last year, Anthrax are at least working on new material for their next record. They have been in the studio with producer Jay Ruston, laying down basic tracks in preparation for Joey to record his vocals, and for Jonathan Donais, to add his leads and solos. The legendary New York thrashers Anthrax have canceled all of its previously announced European festival (and other) appearances for this summer due to logistical and scheduling issues. This is the second time that the band canceled European shows in less than a year.

To celebrate 40 years of existence, Anthrax announce a co-headlining tour over North America with Black Label Society. Hatebreed, who are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Perseverance album, will perform as special guests. The beginning of a five-week tour is on July 26th at Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona.

Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante recently posted pictures from the studio via Facebook, confirming that they have been "hard at work making new noise" for their long-awaited follow-up to 2016's For All Kings, which is expected to surface in 2022. Their latest studio activities were also confirmed by frontman Joey Belladonna through his own Facebook page, writing that he has been "hard at work getting ready for the vocals". In case you are wondering, former Anthrax vocalist Dan Nelson has recently launched a new band called Wolfpack Black. Rounded out by bassist Pat Foote and drummer Dan Mintzer, the group's sound is described as "metal through and through" with songs that are "both brutal and catchy." Thrash icons Anthrax will see Kings Among Scotland, the band's long-awaited live-in-concert DVD, arrive in stores and online on April 27th, 2018. Captured last February 15th at the band's sold-out concert at Glasgow's historic venue the Barrowland Ballroom, the two-hour set incorporates the band's entire live show along with interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and other B-roll shot on the band's tour bus, backstage, in hotels and elsewhere. The DVD will also include a "gear rundown" from each of the band members.
