According to some reports, the mastermind behind The Devil's Blood and Selim Lemouchi & His Enemies, Selim Lemouchi, has passed away at age 34. The Swedish outfit Ghost B.C. has also posted a message online paying homage to Selim. However, an official statement is yet to be released at this point. Former The Devil's Blood manager Bidi Drongelen and Roadburn Festival organizer Walter Hoeijmakers confirmed the news of Lemouchi's devastating passing but no further details are currently available.

The Devil's Blood announced at the beginning of 2013 that they have "returned to nothingness" and later confirmed that plans had already been put into motion to release new material. Their new seven-song album, III: Tabula Rasa Or Death And The Seven Pillars, will serve as the band's final full-length release and now the details have been revealed. Also, the new track "White Storm Of Teeth" has been made available for streaming and you can listen to it here.

Don't get your hopes too high, The Devil's Blood has indeed disbanded but the band is planning to release a new album and acoustic EP tentatively at the end of April and also a future DVD and live recordings. These were projects the band was working on and plans to make available as they are without altering it.

Not the best week for music fans with The Mars Volta breaking up, now another respected band The Devil's Blood quits making music. The reason for disbandment is unclear so far as the band members Selim and Farida Lemouchi posted a vague message on their Facebook page.
