Doom metal icons Trouble have recruited Garry Naples as their new drummer and they will soon to begin recording a new album with him, which will be their first since 2013's The Distortion Field and is planned to be released next year.

Last week, Trouble founding member Rick Wartell announced that they have begun recording a new album. The last one, The Distortion Field, dates back to 2013. When Trouble announced their co-operation with Hammerheart Records in January 2020 it was already planned to record a new album in the Summer of 2020. We all know that did not happen, because the World was a different place in 2020 (and in 2021 as well). But recording has finally started in July 2022. Official release is expected for 2023.

Hammerheart Records are excited to announce that they have partnered with the legendary doom metal band Trouble. Dutch label will re-release the group's entire musical catalogue, with each album remastered and reworked with the respect to the original recordings. Every album will be reissued on a deluxe-2-CD edition, vinyl, music cassette, and digital offerings. Additionally, a new Trouble album is planned for release at the end of 2020. Stay tuned.

Chicago doom metal legends Trouble have released a live video for the track "Paranoia Conspiracy" which can now be seen below. The clip, which was filmed on their show at The House of Shock in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 25th, was directed and produced by David Treadway of DDTstudio Productions. Former members of the legendary band Trouble (specifically vocalist Eric Wagner, drummer Jeff "Oly" Olson and bassist Ron Holzner) have joined forces with members of Pentagram and Sacred Dawn to form The Skull, a unit readying their debut LP due out on November 4th via Tee Pee Records. The band's first album titled For Those Which Are Asleep shows off their doom chops and features "Till The Sun Turns Black," a tune which is currently streaming here for your listening pleasure.

Devil's Highway is a new supergroup featuring vocalist Kyle Thomas (Trouble, Exhorder), guitarist Ralph Santolla (Deicide, Obituary, Death), bassist Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Sadus), guitarist Matt Brunson (Crowbar, Kingdom Of Sorrow), and drummer Tony Laureano (Dimmu Borgir, Nile). The band has begun recording its debut album at Vulture Lounge in Tampa, Florida and DDT Studios in New Orleans, Louisiana. Santolla is handling production duties and their debut album is expected to be completed in December for an early 2015 release.

American psychadelic doom veterans Trouble will be heading out on a tour across the Europe this coming November. A 10-date 'Resurrection European tour' will encompass performances in seven different countries, including a show at Hammer Of Doom festival in Würzburg. Some of you have probably heard of The Skull before. This is the new band featuring original members Eric Wagner (vocals) and Jeff "Oly" Olson (drums) of American doom metal legends Trouble alongside longtime Trouble bassist Ron Holzner and Sacred Dawn guitarist Lothar Keller. The Skull have inked a deal with Tee Pee Records, the NYC record label known for releasing landmark albums from acts such as High On Fire, Graveyard, Earthless and Sleep. The band will follow the release of new songs with its debut full length album, tentatively slated for release this autumn.

Blackfinger, the band featuring former Trouble vocalist Eric Wagner, has signed a worldwide deal with Germany's Church Within Records. The group's self-titled debut album will be released on CD and vinyl by the end of the year. You can watch the new Blackfinger promo teaser video below. The album will mark the singer's first recorded output since Trouble's 2007 release Simple Mind Condition.

Doom metal legends Trouble have announced their new bassist: Rob Hultz. He will make his debut on the band's Fall tour. Trouble have then made a permanent addition to the band line-up. Hultz has already begun rehearsals and will debut live with the band for a series of European show dates scheduled for October 2013, the details of which are still pending and will be announced later.

Chicago doom metallers Trouble will return this year with their first album since Simple Mind Condition, released in 2007. The album entitled The Distortion Field contains 12 tracks and will be released by FRW Music in North America on July 16th 2013 and in Europe on July 26th, 2013. The Distortion Field will also feature new lead vocalist Kyle Thomas of Exhorder and Floodgate fame.
