Comprised of 12 new pieces, it was produced by Gregor Mackintosh and mixed by Lawrence Mackrory. The first single, "Silence Like The Grave", is available for streaming below.

British gothic metal pioneers Paradise Lost have unveiled the first leg of their upcoming European tour, titled "Ascension of Europe 2025 Part 1." The tour kicks off on October 9th in Manchester, UK, and wraps up on November 6th in Antwerp, Belgium. You can check all tour dates below.

Support acts for the tour include Messa, who will join the band across all dates, with High Parasite appearing exclusively on the UK leg, and Lacrimas Profundere performing on select mainland European shows.

In addition to the tour announcement, Paradise Lost have confirmed that their new album, which will be called Ascension, will arrive in autumn 2025. While an exact release date and track listing have yet to be revealed, further details are expected in the coming months.

Paradise Lost haven't released an album since Obsidian in 2020, but that doesn’t mean its members have been idle. Vocalist Nick Holmes has kept busy with Bloodbath and his other band, Host, while guitarist Gregor Mackintosh has also been involved with Host. In addition, he released both an album and an EP with his project Strigoi—which, incidentally, features Paradise Lost’s new drummer, Guido Zima. Now, five years later, the focus is back on Paradise Lost. In a recent interview with Chile’s PowerOfMetal.cl, the band revealed that the band's next album is nearly finished and is expected to drop in September or October.
