Vocalist Wattie Buchan of legendary British punk/hardcore unit The Exploited was rushed to hospital after collapsing on stage due a suspected heart attack during the band's concert in Colombia on Saturday night (December 10). The 65-year-old punk legend, who has a history of heart problems, was performing the song "Army Life" with his bandmates at La Estrella Roja Calle 66 when he started feeling unwell, clutching his chest and bending down before dropping to his knees.

This spring, Scottish punk legends The Exploited are going to kick off their 'Real Punk Rock Tour' across Europe. Starting on April 4th in Paris, the trek contains 23 dates. Before returning to Europe in time for the summer festival season, The Exploited will also visit the United States in May.

British punk heads The Exploited's frontman Wattie Buchan was hospitalized in Belgium. He has a very serious heart condition but the doctors managed to save him. Three years ago, Wattie Buchan suffered a heart attack during a show in Lisbon, Portugal but recovered. Hopefully he can do the same again.

The Exploited performed in Lisbon, Portugal, yesterday as part of their tour with Napalm Death and Hatebreed. Unfortunately, their singer Wattie Buchan fell ill and the band had to cut short their performance and leave the stage. Wattie was then hospitalized and the band later posted a message on Facebook apologizing for stopping the concert halfway through but "Wattie had taken very ill and couldn't continue." Today the band issued another message confirming that he will stay in hospital for at least a week and so the band will not perform on the remaining dates of this tour.

Scottish punk legends The Exploited have announced that they have signed a worldwide contract with Nuclear Blast, which is home to some of the biggest names in metal and hardcore music. Although no date has been confirmed yet, the band and label have promised that a new The Exploited album will see the light of the day this year (in autumn 2014), making it their first new release since 2003's Fuck The System. Now isn't that something?
