After the very publicly controversial split / name dispute that made Bartłomiej Krysiuk's Batushka and Krzysztof Drabikowski's Батюшка spawn out of the original Batushka, during which time both incarnations toured and released music using the "Batushka" name, it seems like the Polish legal system has finally reached a conclusion about the name ownership.

Batushka situation has been quite complicated lately. You may remember when the founder tried to kick out the vocalist but then he got kicked out and now we have two entities by the name of Batushka, with each holding on to its own share of the band's social media. Recently both of those released some new music and/or plans for a follow-up to Litourgiya.

The Polish black metal band Batushka has joined the Metal Blade Records U.S. roster. Metal Blade will re-issue Batushka's Litourgiya full-length, initially released in 2015 in limited quantity via Witching Hour Productions, on November 3rd. Pre-orders launched here. There's no word yet on a possible new album.

Polish orthodox black metal sensation Batushka is pleased to present their first official video for the 6-minute long opus "Ектения́ IV Mилость", now available for streaming down below. The track is taken from the band's debut album, Litourgiya, released back in December, 2015. The video clip was directed and animated by Zev Deans of Panorama Programming.
