Batushka - Join Metal Blade
The Polish black metal band Batushka has joined the Metal Blade Records U.S. roster. Metal Blade will re-issue Batushka's Litourgiya full-length, initially released in 2015 in limited quantity via Witching Hour Productions, on November 3rd. Pre-orders launched here. There's no word yet on a possible new album.
Pronounced "Batjushka", the band's Cyrillic name Батюшка means "father" and is used to address an Eastern Orthodox priest. The identities of the band members are unknown, but they are involved with other bands. Their live lineup contains eight members.
Batushka, Schammasch and Trepaneringsritualen will rage across central Europe in January 2018 under the European Pilgrimage Part III banner. A total of 18 rituals will be executed in 9 countries. This will be your last chance to see Batushka perform their debut album Litourgiya in its entirety.
