Cave Sermon interview (12/2024)

With: Charlie Park
Conducted by: RaduP (video)
Published: 06.12.2024

One of my early year favorites, courtesy of musclassia's review of it, is Cave Sermon's Divine Laughter. Initially an instrumental solo project of one Charlie Park, now having tried their hand at integrating vocals in their work with the help of Miguel Méndez from Mico resulting in a genre-defying vitriolic experience. It turns out that even though I though I thought I was the first one to interview Charlie, Machine Music already had that honor, so all the "what are your influences" questions were out of the way.

Definitely the funniest way to end an interview. I assume you survived.

Even if it's not technically his first interview ever, it's still the first video one, which is an achievement. And second overall is pretty cool. I'm sure he would have had an interesting answer to the question of who should direct a video for Cave Sermon had you been able to ask it.

I unfortunately don’t like the band enough to watch the interview, but I’m wondering if the topic of the white noise in the last album was discussed ?

Nope

Also you don't have to like the band. It's enough to like me.

Alive, but at what cost?
