As usual… the singles are basically the only good songs here, and even then, not all of them. I do like that first track.

The first song was surprisingly decent; what comes after reminds me why I don't give this band the time of day

The Stick To Your Guns album earlier this year was similar but way better in my opinion.

I can't think of anything that stands-out for me at all here, I find it just as bland and uninspiring as their previous album tbh.

I want to push back just a little on the overall negativity here

Is this their best album? Certainly not. But a misstep? Hardly.

This is a new-era Architects album through and through (with the old never fully coming back anyway), and at its best moments, The Sky, The Earth & All Between still hits harder than most. The heavier, more urgent sound is a welcome shift, and tracks like "Elegy" and "Blackhole" prove they can still bring intensity with an evolved edge to the table. That said, I do recognize the lack of originality in some tracks, where the cookie-cutter songwriting feels predictable, mundane, and uninspired.

You put more effort into defending the album than they did into making it

It's growing on me, certainly better than the previous one. Getting through the whole album is a bit of a chore, but plenty of the songs stand great on their own
