I hope Tyr gets some supporting help after the Amon Amarth tour since they are pretty weak live.

Who's weak live? Tyr? I saw them live once some 3 years ago and they were fucking amazing. I can imagine them only getting better with time.

No, seriously. Have you ever seen them live?

Haha of course I've seen them live, how else would I know?

I saw them two years ago at the Detroit Paganfest and compared to Eluveitie and Turisas they were pretty boring. It could be because before then I didn't much listen to Tyr, but at that point I had never listened to Eluveitie either.

Well, I saw them opening for Amon Amarth and I went to the concert with a couple of AA and Wintersun(who were also opening for AA on that show) fans. I was the only one among us who actually liked Tyr and was there mostly because of them. And I was blown away by their show, and most of the people who I talked to after the show said that they were good(even the ones who hated them previously).

So, I don't know, tastes differ. Or they were having a bad day in your case.

Yeah that's probably it. It may also be because on the tour I saw they played mostly songs from Land, which isn't exactly a really energetic album (although I don't know how it compares to the rest of their albums)

Either way, I'll be out of school then and will almost definitely see them.

Dude... compared to Eluveitie and Turisas EVERYONE is boring. I saw another Paganfest date on that tour and really enjoyed Tyr. They were intense, though slightly calmer than Eluveitie and Turisas. But.. EVERYONE is slightly calmer than Eluveitie and Turisas. Getting a theme here?

On the other hand, I can see how a set made of mostly "Land" songs could be a little boring. That one is by far their worst album in my opinion. I saw them on the Ragnarok tour, which, on the other hand, is probably their best album. By The Light Of The Norther Star also kicks some major ass, so it should be a great show I imagine.

Oh fuck, now I want to watch Tyr live so bad and they don't have any shows near by in the near future. You lucky bastard!! HAHAHA
