The band left the following statement: "Certainly going to do a side project for all those new electro/trip hop new songs. Les Discrets might remain what it has always been."
No release date has been discussed by the band, but the band's mastermind Fursey Teyssier had this to say about their new direction: "Not sure if the new songs will be Les Discrets or something else, but I'm sure of one thing, I'm on a new move which makes me so happy, and the few people who listened to them share my point of view."

It's a Fursy's project and this one is a Fursy project too and even though the style of Les Discrets is similar to Alcest I still won't say is Niege-related because he's not there. I know fursy has worked with Niege for Niege's projects and the other way around too when it comes to Amesoeurs but not here and that's where I draw the line with the word "related". Probably I'm being way too strict with what the word "related" actually means but that's just how it works in my head... This will be a trip-hop/electronica project and I don't get the feeling Niege will take part of this (unless I'm proven wrong when this project is fully revealed) so this kind of nfirms my thoughts of Niege constantly being the name to shout despite him barely been there (and in this case: probably not at all). Similar with Peste Noire... Dude was on 1/3 or 1/2 of their demos, half their debut and one or two riffs on their second album... Never an actual member but just a session muscian. Those cases are fine I guess but their following albums to this day are still "Niege-related" from what I usually read on the internet which I think is hilarious.... and in this case Niege has just been a tour guy for Les Discrets. I don't have anything against Niege though... Just making that one clear.
