Pensées Nocturnes - Announce New Album, Share New Songs
À Boire Et À Manger is the new album from Pensées Nocturnes and it has just been announced! The French black metal outfit of mastermind Vaerohn shared its first details today. The record has been recorded and mixed at Le Studio de la Pipe and will be mastered at White Wasteland Studio. Cäme did the cover artwork as on the previous Nom D'une Pipe!. Two songs, "Le Rat des Goûts" and "Les Yeux Boiteux", can already be listened to on Bandcamp and SoundCloud with a provisional mastering. It's something! Dive into the music here.
Hazard (Way To End) and Vestal (Merrimack, Anus Mundi) have also been announced as guests on the album. À Boire Et À Manger is due to be released on January 16th, 2016 on a limited digipak edition.

Why doesn't soundcloud player have volume bar? Oh well... Anyway, it sounds like their last album. I like the idea of mixing metal with those circensis things, but they could use a lot more songwriting...

I love what this man tries to do. Why he must do it in such an abstruse fashion, that I don't know. Almost like the music is made difficult for difficulty's sake. The burlesque atmosphere adjoined with BM is a marvel when it does come together.

I really enjoyed Nom D'une Pipe!, but at some points it just got a little too weird. Not that those strange, jazzy, classical, whatever you call them elements in it weren't good per se, just that they needed a bit of refinement as far as how they flowed into the rest of the black metal. I'm hoping this album will either level that out more, or be a bit of a return to a Grotesque-type sound (personal favorite).
