Art concept is fine, but the execution is terrible. Obviously someone couldn't take a good photo, so they went to town with the burn and desaturate functions on Photoshop. The result is an ugly as sin photo with really fake and patchy looking "shadows" and unnatural darker areas. Odd considering the band member photos are usually well done.

Shhhh I like Marcel's drunken rants.
I personally don't have a problem with the artwork, nor do I think it's particularly intriguing, but I'm typically not a fan of photographs as album artwork in the first place. Regardless, I like the track, so the artwork could be as shit as the latest GTT for all i care

What are you talking about? That was the best thing GTT has ever done. Yeah that cover with the rabbits was more amusing than his music. =P

I really like a nice photograph as an album cover though. Nothing quite like a well-taken black and white image for instant aesthetic appeal.

I have to agree with !J.O.O.E.! here in terms of the art. The desaturation could have been done a whole lot better. It's really not easy on the eyes at all. They could have also adjusted brightness/contrast/exposure in Photoshop, added a mild photo filter to go for their intended effect (before you shoot me, not Instagram level), and so much more. I see what they were going for, taking a normal picture and making it a bit worn and unsettling, they just didn't complement the desaturation/burn with enough. Those are pretty harsh effects.

I haven't even listened to their stuff ever, the high school Photoshop nerd in me wanted to chime in a bit.

Their debut album is for sure fantastic and one of the most forward thinking metal albums coming out in the last 10 years. Not sure if you'd like it , though, based on the bands you like.

I had forgotten to check this out. A LOT better than the lame single released before.
